Customer Review: 6-1/2" Utility and single serving uses

This is a great pan for cooking single servings, from breakfast to burgers, or preparing sauces. I love it because you don't have to be overcautious of the cooking surface. Cast iron is wonderful because it's durable and the temperature stays pretty stable. Single serve breakfast is easy because after the bacon is done and you've fried your eggs, you can serve it all in the same pan to keep it hot through the meal, and minimize the cleanup. It's also handy outside on the grill as a press for your chicken breasts or burgers, and keeps bacon straight on the griddle. And I used to think that cast iron was a liability. Getting into cast iron cooking is one of my best investments, and Lodge Logic is the way to go. I prefer to break it in cooking foods that have some fat in them rather than second guessing the seasoning, and have not had any sticking problems.
